The other night I was reading Detective Conan and there was this one part there where Haibara's mum recorded sort of letters to her daughter.

I was thinking, have you ever had that thought of writing a letter to your kids for them to receive on their birthdays? It would be a nice thing, I guess but then it would be better to just talk to them and spend the day with them, right? But it would be nice to keep a nice little record of it, some words of wisdom you can give your daughter or son that you thought of today and wouldn't be sure if you would remember that same advice come that day it applies.

Or maybe it's just the whole romance of that whole idea.

But then, it's also such a morbid idea when you think about it. I mean it's like you're jinxing yourself that you wouldn't live long enough to actually say those words to them. But you never know with these things.
